<h1>HEX2DEC Function</h1>

<p>The <b>HEX2DEC</b> function is one of the <a href="../UsageInstructions/InsertFunction.htm#engineering" onclick="onhyperlinkclick(this)">engineering functions</a>. It is used to convert a hexadecimal number into a decimal number.</p>
|

<h3>Syntax</h3>
|
|
<p><b><em>HEX2DEC(number)</em></b></p>
|
|
<p>The <b>HEX2DEC</b> function has the following argument:</p>

<h3>Notes</h3>

<p>If the argument is not recognised as a hexadecimal number, or contains more than 10 characters, the function will return the <b>#NUM!</b> error.</p>
