<h1>VAR.S Function</h1>
|

<p>The <b>VAR.S</b> function is one of the <a href="../UsageInstructions/InsertFunction.htm#statistical" onclick="onhyperlinkclick(this)">statistical functions</a>. It is used to estimate variance based on a sample (ignores logical values and text in the sample).</p>

<h3>Syntax</h3>
|
|
<p><b><em>VAR.S(number1, [number2], ...)</em></b></p>
|
|
<p>The <b>VAR.S</b> function has the following arguments:</p>

<h3>Notes</h3>
|
|
<p>Empty cells, logical values, text, or error values supplied as part of an array are ignored. If they are supplied directly to the function, text representations of numbers and logical values are interpreted as numbers.</p>
