<h1>EXPAND Function</h1>
|
|
<p>The <b>EXPAND</b> function is one of the <a href="../UsageInstructions/InsertFunction.htm#lookupreference" onclick="onhyperlinkclick(this)">lookup and reference functions</a>. It is used to expand a range of data (array) by adding rows and columns.</p>
|
|
<h3>Syntax</h3>
|
|
<p><b><em>EXPAND(array, rows, [columns], [pad_with])</em></b></p>
|
|
<p>The <b>EXPAND</b> function has the following arguments:</p>
|
|

<td>The number of rows in the returned array. Although this is a required argument, if omitted, rows will not be added and the number of columns must be specified.</td>
|

</tr>

<tr>

|
<td><b><em>columns</em></b></td>
|
|
<td>An optional argument identifying the number of columns in the returned array. If omitted, columns will not be added and the number of rows must be specified.</td>
|

<tr>

<td><b><em>pad_with</em></b></td>
|
|
<td>The value to fill in the added cells. #N/A is the default value.</td>
|
|
</tr>
